The Animals Voice is located in Kansas City and we are feral cat colony caretakers, and we also network with other groups to promote Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) and to stress the importance of TNR. We also offer brief pet care education.

If you witness animal abuse or neglect, please call your local authorities. Please be their voice and speak up!

Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR)

Did you know that TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, Return? The care, feeding, watering, sheltering, and overall care of feral cat colonies. Most feral and/or wild cats enjoy living outside but just need a little help and care. The ear tip is usually on their left ear and is the universal symbol that this cat or colony has been spayed/neutered.

When you manage a feral cat colony, the first thing that is done is get them on a feeding schedule so you are able to trap all of them, get them spayed or neutered, and return them to their outside home. That puts a stop to the population growing and they can live out their lives happily being fed, watered, sheltered, and watched over by their caretaker.

If you know of a colony that needs help, contact your local low cost spay/neuter clinic for help and advice on trapping, feeding, watering, making shelters for them, and their overall care.

Please note, we do not take animals from the public as we do not have shelter facilities. Over the years, we have taken in several rescues. Most have been special needs or in emergency/abuse situations. We do not adopt them out as they live out their lives with us or the person in our network that agreed to take them in.

Thank you for stopping by and please spread the word and share us on social media! The animals thank you!
